Herewith a list of core business activities that the Dubai Knowledge Village Authority can license:

(A centre specializing in Human Resources Development Activities.  For the avoidance of doubt, recruitment and placement services are not included or allowed under this Activity.)

1.2             e-Training Centre

(Companies offering online training and development as well as providing related support services.)

1.3            Executive Development Centre (This activity also applies to Dubai International Academic City)

(A centre providing or facilitating short or long none degree and none credit Executive Development Programmes ("EDP") in areas such as strategy, leadership, finance, environment, operation etc.)

1.4            Skills and Trade Training Centre (This activity also applies to Dubai International Academic City)

(A centre providing non degree certificates in vocational and technical skills and trade training that is registered as a branch of, or is affiliated to, an accredited vocational centre.)

2.                Executive Search

 2.1            Executive Search

(Companies that specialize in attracting and sourcing talented individuals in leadership, executive or professional roles and delivering best practice retainer-based search on behalf of client organizations.)

3.               Content Development

3.1            Content Development Centre

(A centre specializing in creating and developing specific training and educational materials to help organizations meet their training and continuing education needs.)

4.               Assessment and Testing

4.1            Assessment Centre

(A centre specialising in providing standardised behaviour based evaluation or multiple evaluations including job related simulations to evaluate candidates on behaviours relevant to the most critical aspects or competencies of the job, conduct interviews and/or psychological tests.  For the avoidance of doubt, recruitment and placement services are not included or allowed under this Activity.)

4.2            School Preparation and Testing Centre (This activity also applies to Dubai International Academic City)

(Provide schools and students with fully qualified preparation programs and tests including self-study publications in different school subject areas for school examinations.)

5.                Linguistics

5.1            Linguistic Institute

(A centre specialized in providing language training and learning services.  For the avoidance of doubt, recruitment and placement services are not included or allowed under this Activity.)

6.                Research & Development (This Segment also applies to Dubai International Academic City)

6.1            Research and Development Centre

(A centre involved in the activity of conducting various research activities in conjunction with corporate or academic institutions.)

 

7.                Academic Service Provider (This Segment also applies to Dubai International Academic City)

7.1            Academic Service Provider

(Companies that promote reputed and ranked International Universities and Colleges recruit and provide individual support to students including student counseling and consulting services, necessary paperwork for students' admission, paperwork for travel, visa and accommodation.)

8.             Human Resources Consultancy

8.1               Organizational Restructuring and Reorganizing

(Provide organizations the necessary consultancy services by recommending and implementing partial or full restructuring and reorganizing plans and strategies in order to help them improve performance, productivity and competiveness in the industry.)

8.2            Strategic HR planning

(Provide organizations with consultancy services and help them develop integrating human resource management strategies and systems to achieve the overall mission, strategies, and success of the firm while meeting the needs of employees and other stakeholders.)

8.3            Job Description and Job Evaluation

(Provide organizations with consultancy services in job analysis, processing general tasks, or functions, and responsibilities of a position, then determining the relative size of each job within an organization to create a hierarchy that establishes the worth of each job to the organization.)

 

 

8.4            International re-locations & orientation

(Provide organizations and their employees with  support, advice and hands-on assistance, pre-moving orientation, housing research, administrative formalities, immigration, travel, children’s schooling  and other services relate to the well-being of the employees and  in particular assisting expatriates  settle into new environment in order to increase their productivity and enhance their performance.)

8.5            Change management

(Provide organizations with a systematic approach, appropriate analytical and diagnostic techniques to enable them to assess current operational state and to identify the most significant conflicts, constraints, and impediments affecting key processes and recommend best solutions with a framework for the implementation.)

8.6            Compensation, Benefits & Recognition

(Provide assistance to the organizations to determine and develop comprehensive employee compensation and reward system. Also provide solutions for effective staff recognition and retention strategies.)

8.7            Performance Management

(Providing specialized assistance for organizations to create highly effective, world-class systems and processes to develop and enhance employee and organization performance.)

8.8            Career Development & Management

(Provide specialized assistance to organizations by developing a system for talented and executive employees to be developed for future position in accordance to the organizations objectives and strategies.)

8.9            HR Audits & Accountabilities

(Provide organizations with internal assessment of policies and practices, identify areas of non-compliance or weakness, uncover issues, and determine how to strategically align HR practices with business objectives. 9.4            Executive Coaching

(Provide organizations with a structured system that identifies the highest standard coaching leaders, directors and high potential senior executives to motivate and develop other employees’ knowledge and skill.)

9.5            Mentoring

(Provide organizations a structured training and development programs that give individual employees with the guidance, support, and personal development skills they need by a well experienced professional from within the organization or from outside.)

10.            Professional Association (Non Profit)

 (A non-profit organization that acts in the public interest of a group of professionals to strengthen and transform education and training industry and community.  Also it is formed for the purpose of serving a public or mutual benefit other than the pursuit or accumulation of profits for owners or investors.)
