Eton Institute today announced a scholarship programme worth AED 150,000/- for learning English as part of their CSR initiative. The six-month scholarship programme will include all tuition and material expenses which will be awarded to deserving candidates that do not have the economic means to learn English.
Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Director, Eton Institute remarked: “We have long supported the cause for corporate social responsibility and education. We strongly believe that education is the ticket to a better life and is the greatest need in our community. It is this belief which is the driving force behind all our initiatives and is central to everything we do. ”
“English language,” he added: “is the single most important language for trade and commerce, which is why otherwise gifted non-English speaking individuals often find themselves greatly disadvantaged. We are extremely excited and privileged to be able to offer deserving candidates this invaluable opportunity to learn English and realise their dreams and aspirations. The English language scholarships would allow the underprivileged to break the shackles of language that hold them back and will open a world of opportunity for them.”
The application process is simple; applicants must submit an essay written in their own native language or in English, answering the question: How learning English would change your life? This essay between 200-300 words must be submitted before the last date, 30 January 2010 by email to info@eton.ac or by visiting the link below and filling out a simple form. The scholarships will be awarded to the most deserving candidates selected after a personal interview from the short-listed applicants with courses starting on 02 February 2010.
